I was invited to consult for an Oil & Gas company to help support them to design, build and roll out a sales strategy.
Their current strategy didn’t seem to be working and market conditions were becoming very tough.
Initial focus was to meet with staff to build a picture of the current internal workings of the organisation. In so doing, I got to understand the main reasons for the strategy being a challenge to deliver on.
In discussions with senior management, a new set of processes were put in place. Clearer communication channels, defined roles within organisation and transparent line-management responsibility.
Implementing these processes led to the strategy being followed, offering a clear route for growth, which all the staff bought into.
The company increased its revenue stream by 5% over the next 12 months in an extremely challenging market place.
